This is one of the most frequent questions on any forum, so I might as well answer it now.
Staff are picked out by Admins and the Owner (me). A member can not become a staff by them self, except for the Cool Guy, Great Kid, and Awesome Dude positions, which you can join yourself. An Admin has the ability to go into a member's profile and make them a staff at any point. I have agreed to not make anyone a staff member, unless I think they meet the potential to become part of staff. To be in consideration for being a staff, you have to show dedication to the forum.
